Not everyone has equitable access to the outdoors. Bikes, gear, and time off are incredibly costly for most folks who work an hourly job or are between gigs. We can’t solve most of these barriers, but I’m excited to announce that we’re currently working to create a Gear Garage focused on giving more people the opportunity and skills to go on bike packing trips! Our goal is to create a low-cost option for people that would not otherwise have the camping gear to go bike packing. There will be fees to help offset labor and repair costs for gear maintenance, but the objective is to keep this program as affordable as possible for the folks that need it most.
